Mt Etna Volcano Photo Gallery In September 2001 just three weeks before I went to Sicily for my honeymoon Etna stopped erupting. So no eruption photo's that time. But November 2002 I joined a Dutch expedition to Etna and Stromboli. Even a Dutch TV crew joined the party. And were on Dutch national TV 2 and 5 November 2002. What a week it was. We rescued an stranded injured tourist from hypothermia, experienced earthquakes, rains of ash, Italian politics, a night climb, lava streams, and lava fountains and bad weather.
